Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 13, 2026
At FaceAgeMeter (https://faceagemeter.com), protecting your biometric and personal privacy is the foundation of our architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how photos are processed locally in your browser, what limited website usage data is collected when you consent, and how you can opt out at any time.
1. How We Process Your Photos (100% In-Browser Analysis)
When you select or drop a photo into any FaceAgeMeter tool — including the AI Face Age Detector, Face Shape Analyzer, Face Symmetry Tester, and AI Emotion Detector — your photo never leaves your device:
- Local WebAssembly & WebGL Execution: All face detection, 68-point landmark mapping (
face-api.js), and 478-point 3D mesh analysis (Google MediaPipe Face Landmarker) run directly inside your browser's memory on your phone, tablet, or computer. - Zero Server Uploads for Analysis: We do not transmit, store, log, or train AI models on your uploaded photos. Once you close or refresh the tab, the image data in browser RAM is immediately released.
- Verify It Yourself: You can independently verify this promise by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12 → Network tab) and uploading a photo. You will observe zero network requests containing your image.
- Optional Link Sharing (Explicit Opt-In Only): If you choose to click “Share Result” and then confirm “Generate Link” on the Age Detector, a compressed image and summary result are uploaded to our Supabase storage bucket solely to create a public share URL (
/result/[id]) that automatically expires after 7 days. If you use the “Download Result Card” button instead, the PNG card is drawn locally on an HTML5 canvas and never touches a server.
2. Consent Mode & Cookie Preferences
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 and the Microsoft Clarity Consent API v2. By default, analytics and advertising storage (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization) are set to denied until you explicitly click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline, FaceAgeMeter remains 100% functional without setting analytics or advertising cookies.
3. Analytics, Session Replay & Advertising Partners
To maintain and fund our free tools, we work with the following third-party services, each of which you can opt out of:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Measures aggregated page views and non-personally-identifiable interaction events (such as tool usage counts and language switches). No photo data or facial metrics are ever sent to GA4. You can opt out by declining cookies on our banner or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity: Captures aggregated interaction heatmaps and behavioral metrics to help us fix layout issues. All photo preview and result containers on FaceAgeMeter are strictly masked with
data-clarity-mask="true"so your photos and results are never recorded by Clarity. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. - Google AdSense Advertising: We work with Google AdSense to display contextual and interest-based advertisements across our informational and tool pages. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve relevant ads based on your prior visits to our website or other sites on the Internet. You can learn more about how Google uses data or opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
4. User Accounts, Authentication & Saved Numerical Scan History
When you optionally create an account or sign in with Google or Email:
- Account Data Collected: We collect your account email address, unique account identifier, account creation date, and subscription status to authenticate your session and manage your plan tier.
- Saved Numerical Metrics (Non-Biometric): If you choose to save your scan results or track your longitudinal beauty score trendline, we store only the numerical output values (such as overall score, canthal tilt angle in degrees, facial thirds percentages, and symmetry scores). Photos and biometric face vectors are never saved or stored.
- Self-Service Data Export: Under GDPR Article 20 and CCPA, you may export a complete machine-readable JSON copy of your profile and saved scan metrics at any time with a single click from your Account Dashboard.
- Right to Erasure / Immediate Account Deletion: You have the permanent right to delete your account. Clicking “Delete Account & All Data” in your account settings immediately and permanently purges your authentication record, user profile, and all saved scan history from our databases.
5. Server Log Files
Like all standard web hosting providers, our edge delivery network records standard HTTP request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and requested URL path) for security, DDoS mitigation, and error diagnostics. These logs do not contain any uploaded photos.
6. Your GDPR & CCPA Privacy Rights
Depending on your location (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and California), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or permanent deletion of any personal information you have submitted, to export your saved data, and to withdraw cookie consent at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
FaceAgeMeter does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because all photo analysis happens locally in the browser, no children's photos are collected by our servers.
7. Contact Us
